Woman, 21, died beside a stranger who flew from America to watch her take Kenneth Law's poison

Aimee Louise Elif Walton spent her final 11 days in a Slough hotel room alongside a man she had encountered on a suicide forum, who had flown from the United States specifically to be present at her death. Her sister Adele Zeynep Walton set the record straight in a victim impact statement played at Kenneth Law's sentencing hearing in Ontario on Thursday, after earlier reports had wrongly stated that Aimee was discovered by a friend. Law, 61, pleaded guilty to 14 counts of aiding suicide and sold poison packages to 1,200 customers across 40 countries through Canada-based websites.

'She died in a strange place, in a strange city, in the company of a stranger,' Adele Walton told the Canadian court.

Samuel Whitaker, 19, a University of Warwick student, is among 79 confirmed British victims; his mother Tanya told the court: 'He barely had a chance.'
