Woman, 22, died from a head injury after a 'skydiving incident' at Langar Airfield, an inquest has heard

Madeleine Rachel Trask, a parachute packer who had worked at Skydive Langar for three and a half years, was found in a neighbouring field and pronounced dead on July 5. Assistant coroner Karen Boyle opened the inquest on Thursday at Nottingham Council House, confirming that a post-mortem had identified a head injury as the provisional cause of death. No date has yet been set for the adjourned inquest, and the coroner extended her sincere condolences to Ms Trask's family and friends.
Skydive Langar described Ms Trask in July as an 'experienced skydiver' in a statement issued after the fatal incident.
Ms Trask was reportedly a former president of the University of Nottingham's Skydiving club.
Langar Airfield, a former RAF station, is home to the UK's most active civilian skydiving centre, handling more than 50,000 jumps a year.
