Aisha Zaman, of Collison Street in Hyson Green, faces charges of possessing a prohibited firearm and holding it with intent to commit an indictable offence. She has been remanded in custody and is due before Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Friday. The officer was shot in the foot after approaching a man and a woman in Angel Row just before 4.50am on Sunday. He remains in hospital.

A weapon resembling a sawn-off double-barrelled shotgun was pictured at the scene.
