Woman, 44, is charged with killing a grandfather who loved playing Santa after allegedly watching porn while driving in Utah

Police say Christine Chao had pulled up a pornographic website on her phone fewer than two minutes before her SUV struck slow-moving traffic on Interstate 15 in Juab County. No brake marks were found at the scene. Chao, from California, allegedly told officers she was to blame. Scott LaVar Lichfield, 66, a backseat passenger, was airlifted to hospital but died from a head injury.
Chao faces a charge of automobile homicide, a second-degree felony, over the June 12 crash.
Traffic had nearly come to a standstill at roadworks when the three vehicles left the road.
Lichfield's obituary remembered him as a 'very loved gentle soul' who read to his grandchildren.
