Man, 48, is charged with attempted murder over a Queens home stabbing where an NYPD officer shot a knife-wielding woman

Rashawn Donovan, 48, who lives at the house on 149th Street in South Ozone Park, Queens, was arrested on Saturday evening. He faces two counts of attempted murder, plus assault and weapons charges. The 39-year-old woman was hit in the shoulder, leg and chest. NYPD Chief of Patrol Philip Rivera said police do not believe she carried out the home invasion or the first stabbing.

An injured man told officers through a window that his 'uncle' had stabbed him.

Officers found two men and the woman 'tangled' on a bedroom floor, and she was holding a knife.

She refused commands and moved within several feet of officers before one of them fired.
