Wrecked McLaren that killed its driver and a Hooters calendar girl bursts into flames AGAIN at a California tow yard
Security cameras caught sparks flickering from the front of the mangled 2019 McLaren 720S late on Wednesday night before fire tore through a Costa Mesa storage garage used by Irvine police. Smoke soon blacked out the camera. Detectives suspect the electrical system, shredded when the car split apart, is to blame. James Wehr, 27, and Alexis 'Lexi' Kramer, 22, died in the September 13 crash.
Wehr, founder of South OC Cars and Coffee, hit a tree at Deerfield and Culver in Irvine.
Kramer's family alleged Wehr misled her about his marriage to his wife, Emma.
Kramer, a Florida bartender, had flown to California just two days before she died.
