Zack Polanski slumps to the worst poll rating of any national party leader after 'Zionism is racism' row

More than half the public, 52%, now view the Green leader unfavourably, the first time he has crossed that line in Ipsos polling. Only 16% rate him positively, leaving him on minus 36. His net score among under-35s has crashed from plus 16 in April to plus two. Among 2024 Labour voters he has gone from plus seven to minus 24.

Jewish Greens leader Vivien Lichtenstein has demanded Polanski resign and may quit the party.

Labour is threatening to dump Green council coalitions unless they disown the motion.

Days after the conference vote, Polanski lost the Holborn and St Pancras by-election.
