Zelensky accuses Hegseth of stalling Patriot missiles for 'nearly a month' while Russia pounds Ukraine's cities

Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine is still waiting for Pete Hegseth to sign off on missiles for its Patriot and NASAMS air defences. He has ordered his team to raise it with Washington again and is seeking interceptors from other countries. The Pentagon insists there has been 'no change' in policy. Hegseth said last week the US wants 'our guys' to have as many interceptors as possible.

Patriot is Ukraine's only real option for shooting down Russian ballistic missiles.

The batch awaiting Hegseth's approval has been described as 'significant'.
