Zelensky lands in Oslo for crunch talks with US envoy Witkoff after Trump says Kyiv needs 'somebody else to negotiate'

Kyiv accuses Washington of withholding early warnings of Russian missile launches, and military adviser Serhii Beskrestnov says lives are being lost as a result. Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the claims "scandalous" and insisted US policy "remains the same". Jared Kushner is to join the Oslo talks by video link. Norway's Jonas Gahr Støre says the aim is a "more constructive path".

Trump on Monday: "Russia, frankly, has been fine on Ukraine."

The Kremlin hopes Witkoff will brief Putin soon, possibly on Wednesday in St Petersburg.

Zelensky's trust rating has surged 14 points to 57 per cent since the Trump row.
