Zelensky tells Piers Morgan he feels 'betrayed' by Trump as host accuses president of appeasing 'modern-day Hitler'

Volodymyr Zelensky told Piers Morgan's show he feels betrayed by the White House after Trump struck a deal to buy diesel from Russia, guaranteeing Vladimir Putin fresh funds to continue the war. Morgan then turned directly to camera and warned Trump he was repeating the mistakes of those who appeased Adolf Hitler before the Second World War. America has also been accused of restricting Ukraine's access to vital intelligence to force Zelensky to the negotiating table. Trump has called for Zelensky to be ousted after accusing him of rejecting multiple ceasefire attempts.

Trump recently bought Russian diesel, sending fresh revenue to Putin while Kyiv fights for survival.

Morgan told Trump on air: 'Siding with Putin against this guy and his country is the wrong thing.'

Zelensky, asked if he would resign, replied: 'Of course not — this is my responsibility.'
