Sean Peers, 38, pleaded guilty to assault by penetration at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court after the victim's husband drugged her and invited multiple men to abuse her over more than two decades. Keith Fotheringham, 59, from Dundee, has also admitted multiple offences including conspiracy to rape.
Eleven further men deny a range of charges and are due to stand trial on 19 October, with the jury already sworn in.
The trial was delayed after the husband produced a new witness statement disclosed to defence lawyers just days before proceedings were due to open.
In a separate Northamptonshire case, Daniel Bowden, 40, pleaded guilty to ten sex offences after attacking an unconscious woman four times — each time aided by her own partner.
