Thief snatches suitcase stuffed with £30,000 of valuables from London train in brazen Peterborough platform heist

A thief lifted a suitcase packed with £30,000 of valuables from the luggage rack of a train out of London King's Cross and simply stepped off with it at Peterborough at around 9pm on 8 July. The owner had no idea until she reached her own stop further down the line. British Transport Police has now released CCTV images of a man it wants to speak to over a string of linked high-value luggage thefts on services in and out of London, with links to Cambridgeshire.
Police vow to 'leave no stone unturned to secure justice for victims' of the linked thefts.
Luggage theft can be 'very upsetting and distressing for victims', PC Chris Pepper warned.
Anyone recognising the man should text his name to 61016 quoting reference 838 of 8 July.
