Hai Nguyen's escape bid did not end when his black Audi A6 came to grief at a roundabout at junction 10 of the M56: the 40-year-old, who has no permanent address, then tried to clamber out through the window. Officers first spotted the car on the M6 at 11.30pm on 20 July 2026 and twice tried to pull him over, but rather than obey a police 'follow me' sign he floored it along the M56 hard shoulder.
Hai Nguyen, the 40-year-old Audi driver, was also banned from driving for two years and three months.
'Thankfully, the roads were quiet,' a Cheshire Police spokesperson said of motorist Hai Nguyen's reckless driving.
